CSE Crosscom USA Acquires Chicago Communications, Expanding Its National Footprint Across the Midwest

CSE Crosscom USA, Inc. (“CSE Crosscom”), a leader in mission and operational-critical communications and security solutions, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Chicago Communications LLC (“Chicago Communications”), a trusted provider of two-way radio, dispatch, and wireless infrastructure services across northern Illinois and northwest Indiana. This acquisition represents a major milestone in CSE Crosscom’s strategic growth in North America and further strengthens its position in the public safety and commercial communications markets.

Michael O’Connor, CEO of CSE Crosscom USA Inc., shared his excitement:

“We are pleased to add Chicago Communications to the CSE Crosscom USA family. Our national footprint is expanding rapidly. Chicago Communications has a long, rich history supporting both Government and Commercial customers in the Midwest, including northern Illinois and northwest Indiana through their previous acquisition of Miner Electronics. This new addition is more than just a growth milestone, it’s an accelerator of our mission to deliver reliable, scalable safety and security solutions wherever our customers need them, across every vertical market.”

Founded in 1953, Chicago Communications brings over 70 years of expertise in providing end-to-end wireless solutions for public safety, healthcare, education, manufacturing, and more. The company is a Motorola Solutions Platinum Channel Partner and Platinum Service Partner, representing Motorola Solutions’ highest recognition of professionalism, technical capability, and customer service excellence.

Cindy Glashagel, Principal of Chicago Communications, reflected on the newly announced partnership, “Partnering with CSE Crosscom is a great opportunity for Chicago Communications.  Aligning with Mike O’Connor and his leadership provides us with a strategic roadmap for long-term success. CSE Crosscom is a global organisation well positioned to take Chicago Communications, our employees and most importantly our customers into the future. Their global presence, financial stability, broad partnerships with best-in-class manufacturers and technical know-how will enable us to support our customers with even more comprehensive wireless communications, safety and security solutions. We’re excited to begin this new journey together.”

The acquisition of Chicago Communications is the third in North America for CSE Crosscom, following the successful acquisitions of Silicon Valley-based RFC Wireless in 2024, and Orlando-based Radio One in 2023. As with previous acquisitions, Chicago Communications will continue operating under its established brand, but as a CSE Crosscom company. Customers can continue to count on Chicago Communications to serve their needs with the same experienced team and renewed commitment to exceptional service.

Together, Chicago Communications and the CSE Crosscom companies will leverage their combined resources and expertise to expand services offerings, strengthen customer support, and provide existing and new customers with the leading voice, video and data solutions across the broad mission and operational-critical communications and safety ecosystem.

CSE, the Australian and New Zealand arm of CSE Global, is proud to welcome the acquisition of Chicago Communications—an expansion that strengthens CSE Global’s footprint in the United States. This move aligns with CSE Global’s focused growth strategy, with Chicago Communications joining a global network of over 61 offices across 15 countries.

Through this acquisition, the CSE Crosscom group reinforces its position as a leader in advanced communication and security solutions across Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Chicago Communications delivers valuable local expertise that will enhance service delivery and deepen market impact in the United States.

The addition of Chicago Communications to CSE Crosscom USA Inc. is great news for both international and United States-based customers, enhancing the CSE Crosscom group’s agile approach to solution design and integration.
